New Machine - sticky residue removal from sticker - any tips?

Hello all,

I’m just setting up my new espresso machine (Rocket Appartamento TCA). I’ve just carefully peeled off the ‘caution hot’ sticker from the top of the group area but it’s left a sticky residue behind. Usually I would use wd40 or similar, but wanted to check here first before attempting in case you all know different. I don’t want it to react to the mirrored finish.

I had the same on my ECM recently and used some white spirit

Thanks. Yea that was going to be another option, just didn’t want to risk trying anything before finding out what others had used. I’ve seen some people have ended up scratching the area quite a bit using brute force/scourer pads!

Legendofthejive Goo gone type products is a better alternative, it’s what I have used for years of testing. This Mighty melt product from amazon seems cheap enough.

My go-to is paint brush cleaner. More effective than white spirit.

Alternatives - work on some glues that brush cleaner does not - methylated spirits or Isopropanol alcohol

None of the above will harm metal surfaces
