Can anyone help? I have a distribution list for gmail for contacting old school friends. When I go to contacts.google.com and check the list it correctly shows 7 members with their details.

But when I write an email and type in the distribution list name it only shows 5 members

This is when using Chrome. If I switch over to Safari and repeat the same process, it shows up correctly as 7 members

Does anyone have any suggestions!

I suggest you stick to Safari ;)

profesor_historia Unfortunately, Apple are the greediest company alive. If I get Adblock extension for Chrome on my Macbook it is free. The same extension for Safari is £34.99 per year. I often wish I could be bothered to go back to Windows but I fear my brain would explode after many years of using exclusively Apple products.

Adblock is free on AppStore. It does have various optional in-app purchases, however these have nought to do with Apple. The options also seem like a waste of money for Safari users as all the additional features except VPN are already part of Safari. Thanks for mentioning this – I’ve been putting off doing something about Google’s pop-up intrusions but will install this now.

BrendaninBrooklyn When I added Adblock to Chrome it was free with no need to visit the App store. Launch Safari and do the same and it is free until you open it, then this pops up

Yes, that’s an optional and I think needless purchase. Many free apps have in-app ads to make in-app purchases Just install the free version from the app store and you’ll be fine.

PS – the maybe later button in lower right corner probably lets you bypass this stuff for a while until the next in-app ad pops up. Kafkaesque – we block their ads; we serve you our ads ;-)

BrendaninBrooklyn Or just use Chrome! I am absolutely sick of the money making Apple grab. You cannot add your own ringtones or audio recorders……I have had my phone 3 years and when the new Nothing phone comes out that will be my first purchase, closely followed by a non Apple laptop

Apple can be frustrating at times, but for me the Apple-verse works well enough despite occaisional harsh exclamations in a sort of French ;-) I keep Chrome, Firefox, Opera, TOR loaded for when Safari is not doing what I need. Maybe one of these will remedy your immediate headache ?

BrendaninBrooklyn I might un-install Chrome completely, backing up first of all, then put it back on. The original issue with the missing distribution list members……I have just checked and they are now all showing……it is a miracle!
