Varia EVO Grinder Click Count Issue – Stops 24 Clicks Early on 2nd Turn

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Varia EVO manual coffee grinder and hoping someone here might help.

The adjustment dial is supposed to click 72 times per full rotation, so two full turns should be 144 clicks total. But mine stops after only 120 clicks on the second turn — 24 clicks short.

I’ve cleaned it, checked burr alignment, and made sure the adjustment ring is properly seated, but it still behaves the same.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a common defect or something that can be fixed by replacing parts?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

So you can grind fine, but not access the potentially coarsest settings?

Is this preventing you from being able to make a specific brew?

If I bought something new and it didn’t work as advertised, I’d contact the vendor.
