Hi there
First of all, thanks for all the knowledge you guys collected and wrote down in this forum. I bought my Lelit Elizabeth V3 4 years ago thanks to the reviews here and the youtube videos by Dave. Amazing work indeed! I’ve set Dave’s settings after receiving it and the machine ran basically flawless all the time, just had to use the Molykote trick described in the forum here to fix the OPV once. I love the machine, makes amazing coffee :-)
Since a few days however, I’m experiencing an issue with my steam boiler. If turned on, the boiler starts “leaking” or “bubbling” into the water tank after reaching the designated temperature. I made a short video of that:
Video: steam boiler leaking in water tank
The main problem isn’t even the noise tho, it’s the hot steam going in the water tank, heating everything up back there. I now just open the cover when i use the steam boiler but that’s just a quick fix for the heat problem.
I’ve seen an other recent post having similar symptoms. In his case however, it’s the temperature sensor not operating correctly. I can set the temperature of the steam boiler to any value and the temperature will adjust accordingly. So no issues there as far as I can tell. The leaking isn’t impacted regardless of the temperature value I set for the steam boiler (115-145). I normally have it operating at 145 but only use it for a cappuccino in the morning, then I activate ECO mode to turn it off.
Does anyone have an idea what I could do / which replacement parts I should order? My warranty expired 2 years ago so I’m on my on here ;-)
I’ve attached some pics of the parts in question as the video can be a bit blurry. There’s a “hard” corner of the tube going from the steam boiler to the X connector piece joining the tubes going into the water tank. It was like this since the beginning so i guess that’s fine?

thanks!
