Lelit Elizabeth V1 leak on fitting on steam boiler

Hello,

My Elizabeth V1 has a leak on the MC935 fitting, when it reaches temp (the desired temp but still loading) and stops when the LCC shows OK.

The leak is on the MC935 at the collar and could be due to a worn o ring. But there is also leak at the base of the thread adapter where it sits (V1 has a thread adapter where the MC935 sits unlike newer versions
that the fitting sits directly onto the boiler)

I have already ordered a new Mc935 part but I doubt that would fix the whole problem. How do I go about fixing the leakage on the base?

Can I just unscrew the thread adapter from the boiler and reinstall it with some Teflon tape?

Would really appreciate some help!

I recently replaced mine and that cured the issue. For peace of mind put also PTFE on the thread, 5-7 wraps should do the trick.

The top part leaking was solved by replacing the tubing. Try pushing yours in a bit more and then pull a bit so it becomes watertight again. If you decide to take out the tubing please make a mark on how deep it’s going in the boiler.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah replacing it should solve any leak from the MC935 itself.

I am more worried about the thread adapter where it sits, cause there is also some leak at the bottom of it.

I assume you have a newer machine and the mc935 is screwed directly onto the boiler?

Yes, I have V3. This is mine and I still put PTFE tape for piece of mind
