ACS VESUVIUS BREW LEVER POSITION

Dear members,

I would appreciate your assistance. I recently purchased a used ACS VESUVIUS (production year: 02/2017). and noticed that I can’t lower the brew lever completely down (to stop brewing). Everything works but the lever goes only half way down (see the photo attached).

That’s not right, you need to disassemble the lower parts of the group, remove the lever handle and see what’s going on. It may well have been serviced and assembled incorrectly.

Thank you. I just got the answer from the previous owner. He said that he changed the position of the lever because if the lever would be in regular position, the larger cups would not fit.

Machine works fine this way. Is it safe to leave the lever like this?

Well I suppose…just looks a little odd….I am also wondering how it operates the brew pump switch correctly (as the cam on the back of the lever, is quite specifically shaped).
