Come on Royal Mail! Since when did “no signature” mean you could chuck a paper package over a back fence in the pouring rain and leave no calling card.
Not sure if the packet has just completely disintegrated as it couldn’t be any more sodden, or if our resident Mr Foxy had a ganders but decided he was more of a Central American kind of guy.
Should the one way valve hold up? To be honest thank goodness the inner package is plastic as I’m hoping they are salvageable.
I’m all for supporting small businesses and don’t want to give them any more of a headache especially with “r’ Grinch” doing such a good job already!
Any thoughts?
Looks pretty dry inside.

Platypus - will be fine. Outer packaging is cardboard, but the bag itself is plastic and impermeable. Will the one way valve hold up? Well… I hope so… otherwise what’s the point of being one way! 🤣

Mine still hasn’t been delivered.

It supposed to be delivered yesterday but it went to some other town in the morning all of a sudden. Also paid extra for 24hr tracked 😢

Says due to be delivered next working day but no sign of movement yet!!

Sigh…

This is how my ordered delivered just now 😆 Someone had a peek in it i guess.

Also the barcode and qr code on it fully covered with a black sharpie pen.

And cost of postage says £8.15 😱

No roast date on the rocket fuel but i assume same as odyssey v3 which says 01.12.25 on it.

I suppose the fact the contents are a consumable makes it more tricky.

If my damaged package was a consumable for our grandchild there’s no way I would entertain using it but when it’s for myself, I figure that I’m a fairly tough old bird so worth the risk, my husband agrees.

I was chatting to a taxi driver who regularly delivers Temu parcels, to ask if he could pick me up and take me in for an eye appointment. He said sorry, I have 230 drops to. do today and it is like that every day between now and Xmas. I noticed that Temu have started to use Royal Mail as well. Temu offer a deal if the package is not delivered within 10 days of order they refund you £4. I received the refund this week, the next day the package turned up……..Royal mail!

I’ve already dived in and tried them as I’d opened them anyway. They are going to need a much longer rest but they smell wonderful and taste very promising. 😊

Rocket fuel is great. Last time i enjoyed coffee this much was loooong time ago.

Odyssey v3 is also good but not as good 😊

What’s your recipe? I’ve been pulling them to the brief description on the website. So slightly short pull for the rocket fuel and standard for the odyssey.

I’ve just pulled an odyssey, 18g:36g, using 8s PI at 2bar then ramped to 5 bar for a total of 35s ish, at 93C. It’s quite nice, though I’m sure I can do better

i’v been pulling them the same (description on the web page) maybe 36-37 seconds.

but i dropped the temp to 89 for Rocket fuel and kept 93 for Odyssey and i was using straight 9 bar shot for both. I might also try to play with PI for Odyssey.

i have tried Odyssey v3 this morn, 93C, 10seconds steam PI then ramped to 9 bar for a total of 33 seconds. 18-36gr. It was better, but still feels like if i did 1 to 2.5 ratio it d benefit from that. I will try that tomorrow.

I’ve enjoyed rocket fuel today using Dave C’s profile on my Vesuvius.

18s PI 2bar, then 10bar declining pressure profile

46s ish total for 32g ish, enjoyed it as a short black
