I heard something on the radio this week regarding car mileage.
Years ago you had to be careful that the speedo had not been wound back= low mileage £££££
With everything being electronic it is not possible. BUT. People are buying / having fitted “gizmos” electronic
which enable them to chose when and how the mileometer works.
Even main dealers are unaware when these have been fitted and requires extensive knowledge and equipment to find them.
Apparently being used on leases/hired cars to prevent going over allowed mileage and being charged.
If buying a used car make checks and view MOT , servicing papers.
