New Elizabeth- knocking.

I have had the Elizabeth a couple of weeks or so.

I am getting a nocking sound whenever the pump runs.

I imagine it is the pump nocking against the body or a component.

Anyone else had this problem ?.

When it is cool and I have time I will open it up.

Elcarajillo - are you sure it’s not the hose rattling in the tank due to vibration?

To get access to the pump, you’ll need to remove the top cover, the sides and the tank assembly. Not difficult, just take note of where each screw goes.

great shout ! Have a look at the water softening filter (if you have one)

I will look at that but it sounds to be a heavier nock, more like metal on metal.

If you only use the pre-installed small filter on the intake tube, that can sound very nasty, but wouldn’t describe it as metal on metal …

Good call,I would not have believed a / the filter could have made so much noise, and yes it is / was the small filter.

Even with the small strainer on the tube it still makes quite a racket as it jumps about.

Anyone found a complete cure ?, other than suspending them in mid water.

Elcarajillo Can you encircle/embed it with/into some rubber with a pig tail? I have no idea what it looks like but this would be my first thought.

Elcarajillo - I noticed that it makes less noise when the tank is full. I tried a few times to reposition the hoses… But it doesn’t change much. So much for the Lelit “quite pump” - never mind the pump - the hoses in the tank make a racket instead! LOL
