Aftershave, EDT or Parfum

I am trying to buy a bottle of Eau Sauvage by Dior (not the black bottle, this one)

I normally shave once a week, on a Sunday. I have 7 aftershaves wearing the same one each day and today is Sauvage day. What I cannot quite get my mind around, is the difference in price between the 3 variants, accepting that the dearer ones are more concentrated.

Does anyone have any thoughts they would like to share before I buy the cheapest one!

Boots have 15% off on both 100ml of EDT and Parfum with their being only £11 difference between the two. The Aftershave for 200ml though is £84. I tend to decant into an atomiser so will I actually use less because it is stronger?

If you want something for after shaving go with cologne / eau de toilette. This will give you the most clean and fresh notes for this purpose. As you move towards eau de parfum or perfum range the notes become deeper and sweeter and more long-lasting. I find them more suitable for wearing them at work or at social circumstances. You might not enjoy having this on you every time you shave.

crimson89 I am leaning towards aftershave (that is what I already have) or the EDT. I will check to see what my other ones are but since 2 are Creed and 2 mont Blanc I would imagine they are ‘heavier’ ones. Flipping complicated this scent game! Thanks for your thoughts

Creed are fantastic top quality perfumes and Aventus is a personal favourite :) it’s been a while since I had a shave but a nice classic aftershave smell I would buy again is Davidoff’s Cool Water.

I’m a simple man, I shave my head with a DE razor, and like old school aftershaves, mostly for the burn. Luckily they also tend to be cheap compared to EDT or Parfum.

So think Old Spice, Pinaud etc. I like the smell of more masculine smells, such as tobacco, leather (oo err) etc.

Basically just the amount of concentration. Parfum would have the highest, followed by EDP, EDT and then aftershave. For skin, depending on your skin-type of course, aftershave would be best.
