So, this is the Lelit FCD kit.
I have a Bianca but, after a couple of years of service the brass jet/gicleur in the FCD failed/snapped in half.
I have spent the last 6 months faffing around trying to get a replacement.
JetBlack Espresso, the Aus distributors could not sell me a replacement but could and did sell me a couple of Faema jets which were .05mm that I could then drill out to 1.5mm.
Fair enough for about $30 including postage.
Didn’t work.
I tried lapping the surfaces, still didn’t really work.
I then bought some gicleurs from Italy, supposedly stock.
Didn’t work.
I could either get some control or lap them and enable the kit to totally stop flow but never both.
I finally succumbed and paid over $300 for this kit.
Shazzam, finally I have proper flow control by just replacing the gicleur.
Tomorrow I will try the gicleur with the new SS pin section and see if that improves it yet again.
I will be selling this machine soonish and want the new owner to have the same wonderful experience that I had for the first two years.
I am just really psised off that Lelit and their distributors don’t sell the basic parts required to maintain the machines on their own instead of including them in very expensive kits.
