Cuprajake it is a “better” RDT. the droplets, even small, can cause the beans to stick together/to the wall of the grinder, or rust. this mist (superfine droplets) is supposed to fix that. Just moist the beans, and do not wet them.
I’m allergic to BS stuffs but to be honest this might have some merit. If it works and if it works well is another matter for find out, but I stopped RDT as my new grinder does not need it.

must say as the type lf person i am who obsesses over the smallest detail, im happy that i have a setup im completely settled with, cant remember the last coffee video i watched, i only follow acs because of dave.

its so peaceful not being part of it.

I’d have made 2 coffees and cleaned the group by the time they’ve finished their puck prep…. I’ve taken inspiration from Dave C and Wired Gourmet.

I take a pre weighed coffee dose, grind, dose in pf, tamp, pull.

Only way to speed my routine up would be GBW…

I reckon the majority of people who got into home espresso in the past few years just enjoy buying things and faffing around with them more than they do actually drinking espresso.

Which is fine, but you’ll never convince me any of these superfluous accessories really do anything other than score a few more likes for the ‘gram.

I’m not on any social media platforms (other than LinkedIn reluctantly for work) and it’s bliss how much of this garbage I don’t see.

All this puck prep stuff is great until you have people round. Or it’s 6am before work.

I’m sold on the instagram aesthetic and implied ritual of some of this stuff but life gets in the way!
