So I experienced a life changing event recently, which led me to think, what if I will not have another chance. Since then I have been more “daring”, for the lack of a better word.
And I just ordered a new roaster. Kaleido M10. I am not new to roasting. Have been using my Kaffelogic Nano7 for 2 years with decent results. It is very, very convenient machine when it comes to roasting and you can almost fire and forget. Almost. But it also has tiny capacity even with boost kit. Theoretically I can roast 200gr per batch but realistically, 130-140gr. 150gr is pushing for some good tuned curve profiles, other than that beans will be in chaff collector and is a PITA to collect and weigh them.
So with my new roaster that should be coming next week or so I will be able to roast enough to give friends and colleagues. Maybe finding an excuse to keep going. Eventually a cafe or a roasting business. Who knows. My job is still bringing good income, but it no longer gets me excited or happy. So, maybe.
20kg of green coffee have also been ordered.
So wish me luck guys!
