Levercraft Ultra Grinder questions

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this grinder. I came across one for sale at a local shop, but I’ve only really heard about it through a video James Hoffmann did where he compared it to other grinders such as the EG-1.

It seems to be in really good nick, but I’m a bit hesitant to give it a go since the company that made it went into liquidation and I’m not sure how I’d approach any repairs down the line.

Any advice would be appreciated. I’m really on the hunt for an endgame grinder (second-hand if possible), so this seems like it could be an option.

To the best of my knowledge, less than six prototypes shipped; then dead. A non-product. Don’t bother chasing unicorns.

if you don’t find much discussion about a product, you can assume it’s dead in water. popular products are popular for a reason (or two).
I’d rather stick with popular products instead of “hidden gems”. was burned more than once for those.

Did the launch fail because the product was crap or the company behind it? What price are they trying to get for it?

dfk41 no, the product was excellent; priced like other premium grinders. however, it was a partnership between an American and a Chinese firm that went wrong after prototyping was completed but before production began.
