I ordered both coffees and if I tasted them blind I would think this was the more expensive one 🤷‍♀️

Only 3 brews into this. My first was an espresso but miles out on the grind so not great. Managed 2 switches. But finishing less than 2mins 45. Getting raisin boozy notes but not quite balanced. again think I need to tweek my grind. Am off work so get to play on the espresso/flat whites tomorrow.

Seemingly having to grind really fine for best flavours on espresso more the mango type sweetness. On the switch I was getting more of the fermented and raisin type notes. The fermentation notes are not as pronounced as some I’ve had in the past. Had my 3 hits for the day so looking forward to tomorrow.

I choked the machine today with my “new” Niche Zero. Second try came out almost perfect 1:2. The latte I made was still lacking the sweetness I’m looking for. It has body but also some sourness that I dislike.

Not the best coffees this morning also because I forgot to grind coarser the Ethiopian that I brewed for my wife and I just couldn’t be bothered to make a 5th coffee.

I’m having to grind this bean really really fine to get the best out of it. Not been this low since my decaf days. Anyone else noted this? The mango pulp type sweetness has come through. I might try the graph again so I can come a bit courser.

Yes definitely, I’ve found this too. They do seem quite a light roast so maybe that’s the reason and the extra processing as well? 🤷‍♀️

Finally finished the bag “Liked”, I probably enjoyed the Luz Salazar “liked a lot” more which surprised me. The best I got from this was my last 2 attempts with the switch; immersing into water first then 3 final pours of water. Seemed more balanced than my earlier foundry method that I used for this one (but a bit more involved).
