This has been doing a good job for the last 3 years, I think. My daughter and her partner use this. An accidental water damage inside the machine means the machine cannot heat the water. The machine powers on and discharges cold water.

They have opened the machine, using a YT tear down video, left it open to dry and retried without any luck. I am thinking it is either the board or the heating element has fried.

The tubes inside the machine are ok.

Are parts available? Who is the authorised repair centre please ? Let’s know please ?

Knowing sage, it needs to repaired thru’ their authorised dealer. IMO, it is not with paying money to fix it.

I have recommended they buy a new machine - either Elizabeth or Decent.

Authorised dealers only, Coffee Classics are the go to in the UK. Spare parts are not easily available as far as I know. You can give them a ring and they’ll tell you. I believe they charge you £150 for diagnostics. Then they’ll tell you if they can repair or give a discount for purchasing a new Sage.

LMSC i am both excited and scared of the day my kids are big enough for their own coffee machines. Should I give them my fancy machines that cost thousands so I have excuse to buy something else, or should I let them have a nespresso and die a little inside everytime I see it…

Not a chance, in my case. They drink filter, espresso and macchiato / cortado every day. 😀

LMSC if it is up to me, no way. But then it will be pretty much their lives their choice. If they (and their partners) decide on a nespresso because it is compact, easy, convenient, and good enough, who am I to say no. That’s the scared part!

Sounds like the heating system is dead, likely the thermoblock or something on the board after the water damage. Parts exist but repairs through Sage expensive, so it’s often not worth fixing. Year, better to replace it, Elizabeth or Decent are both good choices
