ACS Vesuvius - Profile 1 factory settings?

Hi all, having recently purchased Paul L’s Vesuvius I am keen to try the “factory” profile 1 settings. I have seen a few threads where people have posted various profile settings, however I like to start from a known baseline and tweak from there.

Can anyone please let me know the Vesuvius Profile 1 factory settings please?

I’m quite certain it was:
S1: 10 sec 2 bar
S2: 8 sec 11 bar
S3: 7 sec 9 bar
S4: 5 sec 8 bar
S5: 6 sec 6 bar
S6: 3 sec 4 bar
S7: 90 sec 2 bar

I did accumulate a fair few profiles when doing my own research when I acquired mine. Mostly from on here. I’ll dig them out if of interest.

I have mine as follows:

P1 - default

P2 - Dave C - 18s 2bar, then 10bar lever style profile

P3 - 10s 2bar, then flat 5bar

P4 - 10s PI, then flat 9bar

P5 - flat 9bar (back flushing)

Most of the time I am on Dave Cs profile and 93C.

I like the longer 18s 2bar preinfusion and aim for an overall extraction time between 35s and 40s typically depending on beans and preference. But that’s my starting point.

Tal Your profile 2 looks interesting - can you share a bit more detail please? I don’t think I’ve seen this one on other threads (yet!)

Though I always extend the last segment on my profiles, so I can do a longer shot if it’s running particularly slow rather than it stopping at 44s for example

Tal I do exactly the same, depending on beans and grind the quantity is not always the same, so I wait sometime a little bit longer too.
One of the reasons I like the Crem One so much is that it delivers the same volume and plays with the time at certain pressure to take care of finer grind for example. Both machines are the epitome of coffee machine craftsmanship.

I’m glad you still hold the V in high regard after using the Crem for the last few weeks, the Crem was certainly on my mind while it was for sale. This makes me feel slightly better :p

Only thing I’d change too now I think is one of the ACS Leva models.

Tal Both are excellent machines indeed. I will be using them in different premises so I need both.
