Our daughter is currently in Japan with her fiancé visiting his family and sent me these videos and a message explaining that the robots are controlled by people with disabilities and controlled remotely. They spoke to a lady from north of Japan who was the full time carer for her daughter with cerebral palsy who worked remotely at the cafe too.
The little robot with green eyes is a disabled person who’s controlling the big robot from their home , she did say it took 30 mins to get the coffee brewing so not for those in a rush but incredible really.
