Assume you’ve had a la pav already! But I’ve been using mine as you describe, a quick espresso hit!
It heats up from cold to brewing temp in about 7 to 9mins, depending how much water is in the boiler.
I time it and have a K type thermocouple attached to the group. I aim for around 80C to start my preinfusion, the PI heats the group by approx 10-12C very quickly, I’ll assume the water inside is hotter still.
My shots have been coming out brilliant and seems to be taking around a minute or so in total from lifting the lever. So that’s a shot in around 10mins from cold.
