I do not often drink coffee after 4pm but just fancied a cuppa at 9pm and had some decaf. I normally find that the drink needs8 to 10 minutes to cool before it is a comfortable temperature to drink. But tonight, after 5 minutes the drink was really cool. I had not changed my preparation at all, so I guess at breakfast tomorrow I will see if it is the normal temp or if I have a problem

I usually start to drink mine (most commonly 185g brew water) within 2 or 3 minutes after dry bed, just enough time to rinse off the brew cone & dry it.

Strange but it seemed ok this morning. I did make a decision though and decided to move my birthday from November 23rd to today and bought a Sage Luxe brewer. Coffee Kev had an exclusive deal through his blog so it came down from £249.95 to £218.71 plus free delivery and 2 free bags of coffee. This is good as I could not find any codes anywhere that worked and the price seems stable at £250 wherever you look. Paypal then gave me 4 months interest free as well so for once I am quite happy!

I like the Sage as it has 3 choices: Custom where you change change most things, Gold which is allegedly SCA Gold standard where you add water and coffee and walk away, and cold brew that I have never tried. Once I am familiar with it, no doubt I will reveal if I can make it sing the same song as others!
