@dfk41 I use @MWJB suggestion for the Switch regularly now and also when I’m trying to get a “feel” for the coffee and some idea of what it has to offer. I use with every new coffee I open to get a measure of what it’s about, whether this is right or wrong I don’t know ,but it works for me.
Copied from @MWJB advice on the “Switch” thread:
“If you want faff free, grind coarse, 18g to 150g water (scale up as desired), close valve, add coffee.
When the water clicks off boil add the full 150g in one go, taking about 20-30s.
01:15 break crust
01:30 draw down & let drain for about a minute (you will see dry bed long before this).
This gives me results that taste as good as using the Switch as a preheated V60, with a Drip Assist (although a stronger cup), which has also given me good results.”
