How many members fill the water tank in the machine ?

Do you ever take the tank out ?

I always take the tank out as there are too many electrical / electronics down below.

When I removed the tank the other day I did the ’sniff" test.

With the hot weather, it is not surprising it smelt a little stale.

I remedied this by filling with water and MILTON sterilising fluid.

Just a reminder of something else that needs doing.

I do use filtered water.

Have always carefully filled the tank in the machine with every one I have had. Also remove/deep Clean the tank, lid every 2.5-3 weeks and wipe water lines down at that time. Not sure am following a certain machine in question…

Elcarajillo - I always fill the water tank in situ. I use a funnel for that. Every 8 weeks or so, I remove the tank from the machine and wash it. And I fill the tank with a Milton solution.

Same here, fill in situ using a funnel. Remove every few weeks to clean and fill with Milton solution . Never had any smell coming from it

I only use a funnel when the bottle is too full, after that I’m just too lazy to look for it. Plus, I think I have a pretty good aim. I wipe down any residual water and get on with it. I used to be much better at cleaning the tank, but I do take it out and rinse it properly from time to time.

i pull mine out, its ceramic so can go in the dishwasher 😂👍👍

I usually wait until I can see things swimming in the water, then I know for sure it needs cleaned. On a more serious note, filling it is a doddle. You can either use the flap at the front or lift the third wheel under the drip tray allowing you to turn it round on a sixpence then pull out the rear resevoir.
