Example, grate a piece of ginger, crush a cardamom and throw them in a boiling water. One can tip a 0.5 tsp of loose tea. We make these herbal hot drink at home. We get a top quality Ayurvedic hot drink at home. Hit one of the Asian stores to get a variety of herbs for cheap.

To be honest @"LMSC"#16, it looks like over priced instant coffee with clever marketing. £15 for 12 sachets, with each sachet weighing 3.2g. That works out at £360.63/kg. I’d expect some pretty impressive coffee for that price. It’s typical pseudoscience where they infer loads of benefits and use scientific words, but offer no actual evidence. In the blogs on the benefits they say “may give benefit …”. For example they have a section on flow (a psychological state), and then say their blends are “designed to help you flow through your day and find your flow state”. When you read this most people will infer that the blends will cause a flow state, but this isn’t actually written. They may design their blends with that in mind, but there’s no comment on whether they actually do that. Another example “_Treasured in ancient China & once reserved exclusively for the Chinese royal family, the Chinese Olympic team broke 3 world records at the 1993 National Games in China whilst taking Cordyceps_!”, they are inferring that cordyceps caused the team to break the world records. You could replace the “whilst taking Cordyceps” part of the sentence with any of the following and it would be just as valid and just as meaningless: wearing clothes; regularly going to the toilet; brushing their hair each morning. Even their whole basis is flawed “The term [nootropic] was coined by Corneliu Giurgea in 1972 and stated they should enhance learning & memory, protect the brain and have minimal side effects.” Note the word should, not do, not have been proven, not here are links to some quality randomised control studies. Pharmaceuticals always have side effects, they may be mild, and they maybe heavily dose dependent, but it’s pretty much a universal truth that if a molecule has a pharmaceutical effect there will be some side effects. When it has no side effects it’s not medicine but food. As soon as you see claims of fixing all your problems, with no side effects, it screams placebo (if I’m being generous), or scam if I’m not. Sorry if this reply is a bit of a rant, but as a trained scientist (I have a PhD in chemistry), these sort products make me quite angry. There’s no evidence, they’re not going to solve anything, are invariably expensive, and can easily prevent people from doing things that actually help (there are several comments on reducing anxiety). Having said all that I can see why the dragons invested. I’m sure it’s one hell of a markup, and have no doubt they’ll turn a tidy profit, which at the end of the day is all they care about.

We are airing our views. It is fine as this is what we do here in this forum besides learning from each other. I hold a PhD in international economics. I am very analytical and won’t accept anything unless it is quantitatively backed. However, I am also aware that there are possibly millions of herbs, which have medicinal properties and are good for health in the long term. Please don’t get me wrong, we have difficulties accepting certain things as they are no scientific evidence or backed up quantitatively. We will get there one by one! It took us ages to accept Turmeric having some good medical valves, while it’s been in use in various forms in Asian countries for thousands of years. We only have a good laugh when coffee joints serve Turmeric lattes. This is something we have been drinking with a dash of black pepper since our childhood. These guys have sensed an opportunity and are capitalising on them. Some nice of marketing but the public needs to be aware that these are the like other drinks, which may make us feel good, perhaps providing a perceived temporary relief from what ever ails us at that time and not a cure, which may require medical attention. We hit the coffee shop or make a cuppa at home if we have a headache and are stressed after long hours at work. The same goes for all herbal tea we drink. These coffee also fall in the same category - but super expensive. The same goes for CBD coffee, which we get from some of the shops at £13-£15 per 100g bags.

Exactly what I do. Also, from time to time I buy a mint plant, slap it into a large pot with some decent soil and wait a bit. Keep it well-watered. It’s not long before for have a large supply of free mint for years, requiring just a few leaves and hot water to brew. Very refreshing.

Normally, after one is established, I snip a couple of cuttings, stick them in their own pots and, voila, stuff grows like weeds. It means I can alternate the harvesting, and if I lose one or two…. ;)
