From experience id say save up, spend once spend right. This is from someone who has spent and wasted on various grinders and machine,
Id not recommended a hand grinder for espresso unless you really want to put that much effort in.
If you are happy to and will be making a drink or two a day then something like the 1zpresso with its 48mm conical burrs is good,
For me though electric grinding is a must.
May i ask what coffee you like as most agree flats can lend themselves to bright coffee where the same beans in the conical will lose the sharp edge a bit.
