What does the V2 mean in terms of technology? Is it still the same machine or has it been improved functionally? Mine has just turned 2 years delivering impeccable shots and yet the itch is here. Can anyone shed some light?

Just a quick question to the people who got in on the deal, did you pay Paolo via bank transfer or through wise.com?

Tim_2_5 I used wise it was really easy. Set up a account and transfer from my bank to wise. I only then had to have a chat with bank to assure them payment was legit. I had the money returned several times which turned out to be the receiving bank having issues and after two attempts the money was returned to my bank automatically. When the money went through it got there quicker than my email letting Paolo know. I would definitely use wise again.

I too used wise. It was very straightforward and Paolo messaged to let me know the money was there immediately.

DavecUK A Sage dual boiler… kind of. It broke again and I’m waiting for a replacement refurb model from a repair centre in Germany. Had enough though, saw the deal on this and went for it. Previous machine was an L1, and an E61 machine before that (I forget the name, Spanish brand). Got a butt-ugly and ridiculously huge eureka mythos, but the retention is low!

I’ll let you know when the machine arrives !! Several people on this forum have bought this way from Paolo. It takes a leap of faith to wire that amount of money, but I trust the people on this forum who’ve dealt with him before. There are several people just recently who could put your mind at ease!!

thewelshvet As long as others have had a good experience that’s sufficient for me. I had a very bad experience during Covid V1 where I had a lot of money stolen. Could have bought quite a few Vesuviuses with that cash 😰

caffeineus_impervious I’ve bought a Vesuvius a few years ago and recently an Evo Leva so you can put your mind at rest with this purchase. Can understand your caution though after your experience recently.

Mine is arriving Tuesday 12th. I will be posting the pictures. I have spoken with Paolo on the phone and he was most pleasant and helpful. I personally have no concerns.
