that depends on your budget and love for espresso, this is an end game machine, it does flow profiling, and is very temp stable,

Hi @John_Yossarian : The original Vesuvius had (I think) nylon pipes and in V2 these were replaced with stainless steel. Same functionality but improved longevity. Yours is like V2 anyway - @Patrick will doubtless supply chapter and verse

Meldrew At this price? Its a no brainer. End game machine (you’d pay what £6500 for a LM GS3 which won’t produce better coffee). This is an extraordinary bargain and you’ll likely NEVER feel the need to upgrade!

I’m not sure, I suspect it will come with PTFE high pressure pipework, far superior to nylon and personally, I prefer compared to steel, for ease of maintenance.

I hope the nylon (I believe this should be HDPE) would be OK for several years more but I believe replacing them with high pressure PTFE later should not be a major issue.

Patrick Just saw a YouTube video where they stated the v2 updates are the stainless steel tubing and a updated water level sensor which is more accurate.

Your pipes will be high quality high pressure PTFE tubing, it’s what they have always used….they never used the type of pipes you see in the cheaper machines.

The water sensor won’t be capacitive like mine…it will be the float on the end of the tube type and I don’t think the pipework will be steel…it’s a very expensive option.

Hi folks, toying with this upgraditis idea but looks like Vesuvius would be too tall to fit under my kitchen cabinets (although this is rented Accom!) Wondering if it would work without feet? How tall are the feet? (And would that just be silly?!) oh, and, how tall is it in total with the feet on?

Don’t think removing the feet would be wise although shorter feet may be viable. With standard feet it is 40cm tall apart from the bit in front of the cup warmer that rises another 1 cm. So measuring from the rear forwards, the first 30cm is 40cm tall, then it ramps up to 41cm over the remains 5cm.
