Just bought a pre mill Europiccola which was supposed to have its heating element replaced and the gaskets. Which was great since I wanted to have a small DIY project and get to know the machine, but it turned out that after replacing the heating element, the connection between the boiler and stem tap is not good. So ordering new boiler nuts and washers. Now, even if I removed the heating element again, I’m still not able to reach that, since it’s on an angle. Wondering if a drive socket will reach it. Have seen a video of someone removing a sight glass boiler nut like this. Passing the handle from the bottom.
- Do I really need to get that tool, to open it from the top? Or will a drive socket with ratchet reach it?
- Is it worth to change the big boiler seals? I mean will I be able to remove the boiler with bare hands? I’ve seen people using some big tubular tools for that.
Thank you!
