DavecUK Plus the way the whole influencer thing is going and peoples response to them, makes me me reluctant to spend too much of my time trying to help people. I’d rather spend a larger proportion of it indulging my own interests.
I can absolutely understand that, and I have to say that your help/info videos on the bianca etc, and troubleshooting were absolutely both interesting and I suspect of value to many.
I am in awe of how the modern world allows people to share their interests with others with such greater reach, and I think that is something to be praised. I agree that the entire ‘influencer’ world has turned most videos into being ‘tarred with the same brush’ as there’s no real way to determine intent, especially for people you don’t know (which again is the value of this forum as it lets us see ‘behind the curtain’ and understand why rather than just see a video).
I do not want to discourage anyone from putting any content online (although I’d suggest caution in the age of AI), but I think it’s always valuable to give feedback in the same way.
I really appreciate the discourse that this forum offers (again) in that regard. Influencers and others are all too keen to simply ‘block/silence’ dissenting opinions, as it would damage their ‘reputation’.
