After getting the OPV replaced on my Elizabeth, it now sounds like a tractor!

BB replaced the OPV and it now works as expected. However, since getting the machine back, it makes a horrible noise when the pump engages - both when pulling a shot and when the boilers refill. See the video below. Any ideas what this could be?

Does it reduce when you press with your finger just above drip tray especially middle part or if you flex case left to right while grabbing front of the machine.

Its insteresting that BB replaced the part, as they told me the other day they are still discussing the issue with Lelit and it might take several weeks to get the part from them. 🧐

Yes or possibly the tubing in/out of the pump vibrating off the body of the machine when the pump runs, will need to take the back frame off the get to the pump

Check my review, can’t remember if I videoed that bit, but there are some photos. It’s easy enough to get the case off. you will also have to remove the water tank divider.

Success, i think!

I took off the back panel and tank divider, and then fiddled a bit with the pump. No idea what the problem was, but it’s now purring like a cat, quieter than it’s ever been. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Thanks again for the tips.

PS During the process, i noticed the tubes to the water tank were not routed correctly. the smaller one was routed thru the larger hole in the casing, which meant the larger tube didn’t fit in the other (smaller) hole. As a result it was squeezed against the case. I’m amazed no damage was done.
