  • ACS Vesuvius Evo Leva for sale £2000

I have been battling with myself about this decision for quite some time.

For sale my V Evo Leva. Machine number 5, bought and received on 21 June 2021.
Location near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, UK.
Price: £2350.

Collection preferred due to the size and weight of the monster, but willing to meet halfway with a serious buyer.

Of course it comes with original box ( although it’s dismantled) , all the accessories and spare parts.
Originally came with the Minima Steam arm, but after a visit to Naples last month and visiting ACS, I bought the Vesuvius steam arm and it is now installed on the machine. The Minima arm will be included as well.

In addition I bought and will include in the sale, an IMS shower screen, an aftermarket double basket, 54mm tamper with walnut handle , a 54mm coffee distributor ,a grinder doser ring from ACS, G10 spare clips, Circlip pliers, a chrome waste bin, espresso weighing scales, ACS cups, towels, milk jug, etc, etc. You will need nothing to start straight away making espresso.
Hell, I’ll throw in the Ikea trolley too in the sale, so it has a stand.

Been using it mostly during the weekends when I have time to enjoy the experience of making espresso at home.
Very rare during weekdays. Hence the reason for sale, I don’t like keeping things just for the sake of ownership, would rather have the thing loved by someone and put my focus on my other hobbies.
Used with a Brita water filter combined with the truest of Yorkshire water.
Any other questions please email, I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks.

The machine is less than a year old. New price is 2200£ collected.

Excellent deal for the money here guys, prices have only gone up as parts prices to build them, plus tinworks has have increased by 20%…..I believe still under (transferrable) parts warranty until 20 June 2023.

Indeed. Still available for someone to explore the lever madness.

Hiya: I’m tempted but already have a Vesuvius so I have to convince t’other arf its an option! Realistically what will you take for it?

It’s a cracking price already. Worth more than that.

Decent De1pro v1.45 - Niche Duo - Niche Zero - Decent is the best machine ever made -

It is a steal at that asking price; the best part is @hysaf has hardly used it. It’s sad he is selling it.

It’s all down to your personal preference, if you really want a La San Marco style lever you will find that it’s quite a bad itch that needs be scratched, that’s how it was for me.

I’m interested in this if it is still available (?) but having done a bit of internet research into this machine I’ve become aware of some issues with the earlier models that make me a bit nervous.  Mainly because I have zero experience working on espresso machines and I’d hate to spend 2 grand on something then immediately break it…

One is the water out-take pipe being placed too high in the boiler – I presume this machine is affected by this and as I understand it there is nothing that can be done about it?

Then there is something I don’t fully understand where a wrongly connected pipe can cause the steam boiler to have too much water in it – it seems this is resolvable?

And then the least serious is a capacitor causing the pump to run too often that can be sorted by just pulling the capacitor out?

Do you know if your machine has any of these issues or any others I should be aware of?

    Thanks

I never had any issues with my machine to be honest.

I did remove that capacitor from the board, because it was recommended here to do that by @DavecUK.

If you have any doubts in your mind and heart, just simply buy a brand new one, I believe the price is around 3k now! Although mine has still 1 year of transferrable warranty !

      All the best!

That’s fair, thanks for getting back to me.

        I’ll have a think.

Please read the Evo thread. It’s a long thread and it will address all your concerns.

C8H10N4O2 pipe being placed too high in the boiler

The pipe stops at the length of 25%-30% from the base of the boiler in the case of the first one or two batches. Why do you think this is an issue? If you steam daily, draw a cup from the tap! Some users flush the water once in 6 weeks from the top of the boiler and some thru installing a drain valve. I do the latter once in a few months as this is the best way of draining the service boiler water.

C8H10N4O2 least serious is a capacitor causing the pump to run too often that can be sorted by just pulling the capacitor out?

        DW about it!

I won’t convert this into a discussion thread as this is @hysaf sales thread. It’s a shame hysaf wants to sell it. It’s a steal as the machine is hardly used.

@DavecUK - Please delete if any of my responses cause a deviation from
the intent of the sales thread. Thx

Update on the machine with a service.
I opened up the grouphead, cleaned the piston and lubed up the gaskets.

Thank you for answering there for me, I have no idea what he was on about.

You’re more than welcome to come down and have a look at the machine, and make your decision after physically interacting with it if you have any concerns!
          All the best.
