I have had my Minima for 18 months (great machine) and it has been rock steady on an over pressure (water return to the tank) setting of 9.5 bar. In the last few weeks it seems to have shifted to 10 or just over. I know 10 bar is still ok but just wondered why it changed only recently. I use an Osmio Zero so shouldn’t be an issue with scale?

Is this change in pressure when used against a blind filter both times?
DavecUK
I see it with a blind filter and when making coffee. Sometimes on the first go it can go just over 10 bar then drop back to 10 on the following when back flushing
njlhyde I’d say for now, just adjust the pressure a bit lower, to what you want (e.g. 9 bar)…if it varies again, then perhaps the valve needs a clean and slight lubricate…(depending on the water, there might be deposits)?
Thanks Dave
I’ll adjust and monitor.
I’m guessing because I use an Osmio zero that there is no scale.
njlhyde If you use an Osmio Zero, then it should be clean as a whistle inside.
P.S. why are whistles so clean inside?
DavecUK why are whistles so clean inside
What is ‘right’ about rain? (As right as rain)🤔🤔🤔🤔
DavecUK my believe is that whistles only make a nice pure tone if they are clean. Even a little bit of dirt would add some distortion or prevent the whistle sound from being generated. This would apply more to natural wood or reed type whistles.
audiomacgyver Makes you wonder about the state of a football referees whistle…..
That’s what VAR is SUPPOSED to be for
dutchy101 VAR…nope….whoosh, over the top?
