Imho, a commercially minded YT is going to have a self-interest - in any lines of business. They are aimed to influence the mass. In the coffee space, it is aimed at common coffee folks who do not know much about coffee and not us.
Doram What would be a good alternative to the Niche, and for what audience?
Is there a grinder that would give better results at the same price point?
The Niche has set a benchmark so high, it is going to be difficult for any single dose grinder (Solo and Oro) to match it at that price point.
The better result is in the cup and what we consider as the best grinder in terms of cup quality is relative.

Spending more and getting better outcome is a moving goal post and also varies with an individual. For the majority of the public, spending £500 on a grinder is crazy; people spend £100-£200 on a coffee machine. If I tell them, spend £500 on a grinder, they would say I am mad.
Let’s forget the average coffee enthusiast; how many of us can tell a difference in coffee from two grinders! I am not a super taster to pick the difference.
I don’t think he said Niche is bad! There are many YTs, who praise Niche but rip something else or play it safe out of commercial interest. LH is another commercially minded YT aimed preserving his commercial interest. He thinks it doesn’t work for him - what ever the hidden agenda is. It is ok if he thinks it doesn’t work for him; but, it wont take anything away from Niche either! 😊
