NeilC Remove the remaining gubbins from the clamp, check the new pressure guage comes with a capiliarry tube, fit the new guage in the holding clip and attach the capilliary tube to the same place the eixsting one is attached to. The images are of a steam pressure gauge just to illustrate the things you need to consider.
In the first image, the arrow points to the connection point of the opposite end of that capillary tube, you need to open your machine, remove the other end and make a photo, so whatever you buy has the right connector.
In the next image, you see A and B, a fits in that clip to the front panel and you need to make sure B, can pass through the hole in that clip…..if it won’t then you have a slight problem, measure the hole, so you have the diameter ready to ask. If you can’t find anything original, you can always cut a slot in the clip to feed the capillary tube through.
Lastly ideally the capilliary tubes should be like this, but at least make sure it’s long enough, with the coils they can of course be stretched by unwinding a loop or two.
When you get the new kit it will all become clear.
