With the great supports I got here (appreciate that!), I successfully dialled the Chocolate Blend from BlackCat. I still have 500g Dock Blend (North Star) in the freezer. But since I tried running out of bean earlier, I told myself to plan ahead and started to think about my next order. I would reorder the CB (and maybe DB) but also try some new ones. Both for medium dark roast for its easiness to dial in and light roast as I am curious why so many enthusiasts enjoy lighter roast (although it will be another learning curve for dial in). I started research for a week. With almost no knowledge, I tried to jot down the roaster and some bean people meniotned online as their go-to or even favourite roaster beans. It was sort of placing in descending order of numbers of mentioning but in my very rough and unknowledgeable way. Please bare with me on this guesstimate list. The missing piece is for most roaster, I haven’t got the recommended beans. Also, some of them, eg the Foundry’s Rocko Mountain, were discontinued. So I think it is a seasonal thing? Great if you can give some recommendation on this point of time.
