Thanks Dave! If you have a moment, I’d love to know what the OC setting actually physically does.
- does it actually affect the thermister measured temp at the group head screen?
- does it impact the boiler temperature displayed on the screen?
- does it impact any other screen displays?
I have OC set at 10, but am not sure what that is actually doing.
To measure output water temp, I hold the bare tip of thermistor wire directly in the water flowing from the screen. The wire is connected to a thermistor meter (professional unit). The displayed temp bounces around, depending upon where the wire tip is, relative to the water stream, but maxes at 96 to 97. I read about the Scase, but can’t afford one.
I understand that I should target about 95 or 96 (if measured by a Scase) but just read a temperature vs taste study that suggests I might be better off targeting 93.
