Radiator thermostats.

An important part of heating system are the radiator stats, these tend to be set and forgotten.

It is important in the summer to release the setting ie turn top to maximum setting, this releases the internal sensor and takes the pressure off.

Failing to do this can cause the thermostat to take a ‘set’ in position and not operate fully/ correctly when needed.

Here’s a question… which are the best radiator thermostats to use, as aren’t there different internal mechanisms for how the sensors work?

Generally the two types of activation / operation is via a wax capsule or a fluid filed capsule.

The more expensive ones tend to have fluid filled capsules as they tend to react more quickly.
