Cut everything beside last tamp.
WDT with thick sticks is something you should never do! you only use 0.25 to max 0.4mm neddles to rake and break the clumps. Then you hit the portafilter from the side, that will make the puck move a bit inside the pf, that the tamper might not fix it entirely.
So cut all the steps to a simple wdt with WDT tool (2-6 needles wine cork thing) you find needles if you search 3d printer nozzle needle or accupuncture needles, but again be sure they are 0.25 to 0.4mm thick, thicker is bad.
