Can any kind soul point e to the expanded parts file for the Evo, or have I been on the mushrooms again?

dfk41 I think this is the group parts list image. I don’t think we have created the list of all parts for the Evo. I think we should create one.

What are you looking for specifically mate?

LMSC T’was just a random thought. If you turned the machine onto its back to try and access it from underneath, would you be able to, or, does the floor remove or is there an inspection hatch. It is just one of those questions I often mull over on nights that sleep evades me!

dfk41 Yes, you can remove the bottom plate held in place by 5-6 screws. I removed it to install the drain valve and didn’t bother to put it back as I need a regular access to drain the service boiler water.

Does it affect the stiffness of the body if you leave it out, even if it does nothings going to break, I was just curious?

DavecUK If it does, it’s minimal - the six bolts are quite small (M4) and weren’t very tight when I took it off first time.

DavecUK Good question. It’s a bottom plate, which just party covers the parts.

Assuming a lack of stiffness of the body resulting in jerking or a slight movement, I haven’t seen anything of these sort. I lock the lever mostly with one hand and then gently release with both hands.

As CoyoteOldMan said, the nuts are hardly hand tight.

LMSC it is thick though 2.5mm nominal is a good thickness for stainless.

LMSC Oh the bar was setup 3 weeks ago. It is the reclaim old wood aquarium stand (24″× 24″ and 30″ high) So it built to withstand 500 LB weight. I built the 12″ platform and put the table on the top of the platform so the total of 42″ off the ground. Oh yeah, I am beyond ready. 😄

Medium light / medium

Plum mostly. Acidity was fruity and mild as expected. Can’t say the acidity was red grape as noted by the roaster as it could easily be pear or red grapes, …. A sweet coffee and very nice indeed.

First dial, 91/97, 31s for 43.6g on 18d. I had a mild tartness as I drank as a short Americano. There was something nice about it. @DavecUK - should I put up the temp by 1C and see if the tartness goes away please?

Roaster’s notes

Heavy, full bodied brew with a gentle red grape acidity and hints of ripe plums, pears and black cherries. This is very well balanced coffee with a smooth and even finish.

Hi 👋

I’m a happy Evo Leva owner for two months now. I usually let the Leva automatically start at 6 in the morning and I make 3-4 espressi per day. At 5 pm the machine is programmed to automatically go on standby.

In the last 1-2 weeks, the Leva starts very frequent pump activations while idling. I tried the complete shutdown with the switch, but it didn’t help.

My settings:

Firmware Version: 2.07

PID settings: unchanged (factory default?)

Group Temp: 93°C
Boiler Temp: 99°C

Room Temperature: 28°C

I’ve made a short video to demonstrate the behavior:

Do you have any tips/recommendations on how to get rid of the frequent pump activations (without turning off the machine)?

Either the machine is loosing pressure via the brew circuit (leak)? This could be slowly via the group.
The pressure stat is faulty
You tried to adjust preinfusion pressure but turned the little screw (deadband), instead of the one under the red cap.

karl_kaefer Does the water drip when this happens? Please check if this nut is not too tight. It should be gently resting on the bottom PIN/Valve, which gets depressed by the little lever when you lock the lever.

pre-infusion settings haven’t been touched - I only adjusted temperatures via the menu

Yes, water is dripping (with a slight delay) through the group
the nut is not too tight and sits gently on top of the pin

Based on your questions, I assume it’s a pressure loss via the brew group? How would I verify/fix it? Or should I contact ACS for further instructions?
