Blackcat Nicaragua
90.5C Group, 96.5C brew. 17.6g, 42.4g liquid, 29s. It is medium dark bag ground at the default grind settings. The cup was nice as an espresso and also as a flat white. As an espresso, it was rich, smooth and sweet, although I found it a tad sharper. I also wonder if it ran faster, requiring further tightening of the grind and may be also drop the temp by 0.5C to 1C.
The aroma and flavour were blueberry all the way. As a flat white, it is lovely but don’t expect a very rich and a strong cup like any other medium dark beans. It will be some what on the lighter side, retaining the blue berry flavour.
