This is the dosing funnel I use - it’s magnetic (yeeeah!) and has a relatively small inside lip. It comes in different heights. (27mm and 34mm). I’ve got the 27mm height and 54mm width and the work together with the IMS B662TH26M (link)

LMSC yes it’s sitting inside the basket but with little effect only. I typically use 16.5g of beans and with that amount I don’t get any markings after WDT

I have the Asso 58mm 54mm funnels, recent aquisitions and recommend. And whilst I prefer not to have an inside lip on a funnel, these ones are so thin that they still work well.

Being in the fortunate position in being able to make my own bespoke rings, this is what I have settled on.

It is a ring that is stuck on the on the outlet of the Compak, there is a little overspray of grinds but makes filling the portafilter very quick and easy.

I just received my machine end of last week. Have been too busy to get it set up fully yet. I read through the faq/manual. Is there anything I should do that is not listed? I though maybe pull the clip/screen and inspect or wipe any excess lubricant?

Also, I asked for a 14-18gram basket in addition to the single(9g) and double(21g) provided but it looks like the 18g basket is the same size as the 21? I ordered the 18g standard and 18g ims basket and the ims is noticeably smaller. Wondering if anyone as the 18g standard and could post a pic for reference before I email ACS.

So far love how it looks. I went with the standard steam/water wands. Not sure I will like the standard steam wand I thought it would articulate futher but will have to test it out. Also, wish the water wand was bit shorter to allow for bigger cups under it but no big deal.

Hoping no issues firing it up, I’ll post a pic once I get it set up.

Mine came with two ‘doubles’ and a ‘single’ basket - the doubles are 32 mm deep (same as the IMS 18/20 grams); I don’t think they do a ‘middle size’ basket, and the hole pattern on the IMS 26 and 32 mm seems totally identical, so the only difference is 13 ml less water being used in the brew chamber.

By all means, give it a wipe as now removing the clip and shower screen is really easy, but I’d still run a couple of boilerfulls through with full heating as per the manual. Quite a lot of grease came through on mine with the hot water even though I thought I had cleaned it by flushing with cold…

18g ims is about half the depth of the stock 18g so dont worry there,

hopefully yours will come with the new spring clip on the shower screen, so you can give a quick wipe should you want to,

id say give it a good flush through with water
