It seems ACS has changed the default PID values from the initial machines (all 3 PIDs were set like your Group heater).
It does seem you’re saddled with a low voltage set up (read 110-120V mains power), as the 220-240V steam boilers get to temperature significantly faster (in around 8 minutes). In your machine the steam boiler only starts to heat up once the brew boiler is ready, to stay within the limits of the 15A rating commun in US household circuits.
This being said, the bottleneck remains the group heaters and ‘Euro/RoW’ machines also reach operating temperature in around 15-16 minutes (depending on ambiant temperature, air flow, etc.).
