jakesmorrison Just timed a shot - I don’t have a data acquisition kit, so you’ll have to trust that my eyes didn’t wander far off the temp probe for more than 5 seconds at a time, with a bit of help from my wife to capture moments when I wasn’t able to look (e.g. removing the cups!)
Also, my ‘stability’ criterion was “for at least 10 seconds within +/-0.3 C of target”
Boiler target: 100
Group target: 94
Pre-infusion (from pump stop at 2 bar): 11 sec
Shot pull: +52 sec (ground a bit too fine)
Group back to temp: +15 sec (it never went below 92.8)
Boiler back to temp: 190 sec from start of preinf (it never went below 97.3)
Which is basically the same time as your machine - about 3 minutes.
One thing that I’m puzzled by is that I have a 6 degree offset between brew boiler and group temp; you seem to set them at the same? Never mind - same question that Jake had!
(sorry - just realised I added timing rather than subtracting them, so clarified!)
