NelisB Its from november 2021.
Its a disconnection, but in the probe mounting. When I move the wires just there, on top of the boiler, the value goes everywhere and ends up @ AL02 or AL01.
That seems to confirm it’s the temperature probe then. I was hoping it was the accidental addition of an extra group when in the advanced menu. The control board can support up to 3 groups and it’s possible to accidentally tell the machine you have 2 groups and of course you haven’t, thus the AL02 error appears.
If moving the cables about is causing a problem, then for sure it’s probably the probe (unless the connector about 10 cm down the lead is loose, check it!).
Paolo discovered the brass sensors in use by all manufacturers use a potting compound in the thermowell that expands and contracts, often causing problems by breaking the very thin wires to the probe. He has since changed to a much more expensive steel sensor.
I actually have some maintenance spares here in the UK. I asked for some to try and help out UK forum members a bit. Your machine is still under warranty…report the fault, they may ask for a video to see the values jumping around when you move the wire. When they authorise it, I can send you a steel replacement probe. You will have to pay me postage…depending on the thickness it can be quite cheap, if I can send as a large letter. If you are not in the UK, you will have to get it posted from ACS.
As I have been attacked with lies in the past on line, I just want to stress I don’t get paid to do this or make any money from it…I am just trying to help UK members.
