May we know why do you use the little lever behind the group? Is it for additional PI before you pull the lever down (which any way gets 1.5-2.0 bar PI). Thx

It’s ok generally but would be better with the new design if it is compatible with my head. I’ve not seen any pictures how it is fitted.
I don’t like pulling the lever just to clean etc 😎

I thought it was time to use a bit of that moly I purchased so decided to take a look inside.

Very impressed with the quality in there and how clean it all was.

So I put a little moly on the seals and back to making coffee again.

Just thought I’d share a “post without a problem attached” 😜

Adrianmsmith Just remember easy interim lubrication can be performed by having the lever down and locked on a machine that’s off…making sure the bore is completely dry and wipe a very thin smear of molycote around it…when work the lever a few times.

Big puddle this morning

Mine pressure stat has gone again. Just ordered another.

I DID NOT make the adjustment Dave and LMSC suggested as I didn’t move the machine again and hadn’t read about it in time whilst I had it outside .

Can’t work in the kitchen due to cupboards 😭

From your experience if I make the adjustment is it likely to be the end . Is there anything else I should check whilst I’m working on it.

Adrianmsmith I haven’t gotten to installing it, so I don’t have anything to show.

But I would suggest that you take out your pressurestat and check the adapter attached to the pipe. When I changed mine, the second one leaked right away but it was the adapter that was cracked and leaking, not the new pressurestat. It had a hairline crack that was visible when looking from above.

Thanks, but unfortunately for me it’s the diaphragm again 😭 just over 3 months running perfectly ☕
I should have adjusted the valve, will do this time 😜

Adrianmsmith Sorry to hear. I had changed mine probably in mid 23. I had loosened the value a bit. So far, so good. Touch. wood!

@pinky-and-me’s suggestion is good. Please check the adaptor as well.

No, usually good grinder and coffee helps a lot to reduce squirters.
