@DavecUK it should bend and pop out? Dose it need a lot of force ( i have a history of scratching shower screens so i don’t want to force this)?

A better tool would be a set of circlip pliers that has ends that locate into the circlip that move together (inwards) when you press the handles together.
The circlip pliers that you have shown are designed for external circlips. You will need to have one hand on each plier handle for this tool to work….which could be a bit dodgy given the tension of the circlip ends in the bore of the group.

This was a setup of four, two pointing and two angled with each has inward and outward closure… cleaned and found a spare spotlight clip and tried it and sometimes things align…

They are still investigating, but I recommend e-mailing them as well to add a greater sense of urgency..

Berryterry I requested ACS update twice, since they proactively never answered initial requested email and all I got since October is “The scratches occurred only to few customers. Our supplier is still investigating and we hope to have soon a reply.”

So, we’ll just wait.

in regards to the clip, currently, I am using the spotlight clip. but I remove it after I finish my shoots and put it onside until I want it again. since it is easy to install & remove.
and FYI even this clip got rusty! 🤷‍♂️

Abdulaziz Bizzare, Ours’ is fine as in day 1. We were the first to use it on Evo, after we had asked Dave for an alternative. The original circlip was already rusted when we got the Evo.

Abdulaziz I think perhaps you need to buy the stainless circlips. Could be something to do with the water if lamp circlips are rusting.

LMSC , indeed, I will leave it for a couple of days, I do not mind losing another as I have a bunch of them & I will report back here.

At the same time, I have shared with Elcor’s support my research for a factory in the US that manufacture a ring in 316 stainless steel with customized sizing & they already do it for heavy duty appliance. so I do not think there will be an issue with them getting rusted or damaged

DavecUK …. well I have thought about it. and you may be right. I am not a master in the world of water.

my current setup for the water is a RO filtration system tuned to 110 TDS & 50 Total hardness. also, I use BWT super save pads in the tank to reduce the Calcium in order to slow down the scaling inside the machine.

if you have thoughts on some elements to check, I would really appreciate it 🙏

Basically after 4 days they are pretty much useless. Water is a delicate subject when it comes to coffee. Invest as much time into it as reading about beans and equipment.

LMSC I have a translator installed in my Firefox browser, does it automatically, so when I went to the page it looks like english. The add-on or extension is called “Google Translator for Firefox”. I would imagine there is a version of this for all browsers.
