Thanks Adrian. Amazon US doesnt even offer any BSP version of the same reducer! (There are plenty of others that I can track down online).

Drain setup is working fine, but I may change back to the smaller tubing as ⅝″ is just unnecessarily large for the task.

Thank you again, I was eventually able to “trick” amazon to showing similar BSP fittings but it was cheaper to find on eBay. Other BSP fittings were easy enough to find. In the US, ½″ to ½″ (or ⅜″) BSP to NPT is probably going to be a necessity for plumbing the machine.

MacPhisto Be careful with the clearance under the machine. Any additional adapters could make it impossible to fit the line.

Clearance is definitely a concern with using a different adapter. Clearance was fairly tight to start. The overall dimensions of the replacement appears to be the same or close to the original adapter. If it is a problem, I can lift the machine, either by additional washers/nuts between the feet and the frame or placing some form of lift under the feet like hard nonslip furniture pads. I’m not opposed to lifting regardless as it makes it easier to clean under the machine.

I modified the feet using stainless threaded rod and stainless nuts.

M6 for the front and m8 for the rear.

This was to give clearance on the Evo1

Others have reported it should not be necessary. For me it was. But worth it

Just wanted to spread some positivity!

I have my Vesuvius evo leva for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it! It is so forgiving and consistent when I dial it in properly.

I love playing with all the parameters and trying everything out.

Hosted my daughter’s birthday and was making al sorts of drinks without any issues. Coming from a single boiler really makes you appreciate milk steaming at the same time when the shot is pulling. Helped by the dosing system there is really no hassle.

The only thing I still want to do is plumbing it. Filling the water tank is ok (I’ve placed felt pieces under the feet so moving the machine is easy) but it would be so much nicer with that task out of the way.

Thanks to this forum and the advice from all of you made me decide to buy this machine and use it to the fullest.

In my opinion……

Plumbing it in is like getting another next level boost to the machine . Love it. Hate having to fill the tank manually but I’m known to be idle!!

What country are you in? I’d recommend pressure reducer to circa 30psi ( not technically necessary but practical and sensible) prior to filters. I’ve only tried everpure claris ultra system but so far see no need to change.

Lots of room with the new chassis and feet to easily plumb it in with the supplied kit.

Don’t forget to use the fibre washers on each end of the hose and some ptfe on the solenoid adaptor . I cut about 300mm of PTFE in half down it’s length. Use approx 6 or so full wraps of tape. Do not overtighten, especially the adaptor In to the solenoid. It all needs just nipping up snugly.

Adrianmsmith Happy Easter to you too! I live in the Netherlands and understand it is not necessary. But since I work for a company which sell these reducers I probably will do it out of interest.

I can’t say I agree with Dave on those, but they’re Not hurting anything!!

As for the pressure regulator, I just think it’s better for the solenoid and to avoid potential spraying , splashing from the tank when the solenoid opens.

I’ve never tried it to prove it. I had the regulator from the synchronika which actually required It, so had a head start there anyway.

Also don’t forget to change f4 from 0 (tank only) to 1( enable solenoid)

Adrianmsmith what pressure did you set your regulator at id you don’t mind me asking?

I do not have the under chassis lights unfortunately but I do have the option in the menu. I guess that’s where you turn them on or off. Thinking about adding it later along with the flush lever (need to ask Maria about it).

Adrianmsmith on the picture you added it shows Option 6 where you can prioritise a boiler. But I guess that’s for the American market since they have 110v?

Mine is set at just over 2 bars, 30psi.

Seems to fill the tank nicely 😎

Just to add, it’s all 15mm copper up to the filter.

I believe so, for the USA and others on 110v, yes. Mine is set at 0 in the UK and both come on simultaneously. I tested to find the options.

This was a big downfall or my synchronika. Took ages to heat up as there was no option to have both boilers simultaneously .

Makes a big difference. ACS again get it right ,☕

DavecUK Yeah I fully agree. I love to know how machines work and don’t mind altering of upgrading things. I accidentally ordered the steam wand on the wrong side so thinking of switching them one day. When I took a peak under the bonnet I thought it wouldn’t be too hard… What do you think?

Blackbirdman it’s tricbecause the copper tubes are custom for that side, so unlikely to fit.

If the machine is powder coar, you need to be careful.

Adrianmsmith If I get to it, I will do the same. Mine is on the left and I got used to one on the right. Plus the wall is left of the machine so it feels a bit cramped.
