Well another week, another leak (maybe not a leak but intended?)…this one appears to be coming from the device in the picture below. It is upstream of the pump and valve plenum, but tees off the line going to the brew boiler. There is what looks like an inline check valve (OPV?) between the boiler line and this device. There are several wires going to it so looks like a solenoid valve of some sort. The inlet/outlet to this device is teed and also runs to the tank. Seems like maybe the plumb in fill valve, and the OPV uses the same line going to this to minimize lines going to the tank?
Either way, after a shot during a flush of the brew head I heard water dripping. No standing water inside the case but the puddle (10s of mLs) was directly underneath this fitting on the bottom. I stuck a q tip up the fitting from the bottom of the machine and indeed it was wet, so I suspect this is the culprit. My machine IS NOT plumbed in (otherwise I’m guessing there would be a hose connected to this….)
If my understanding is right then this valve leaked, but the OPV (or check valve) would have to have leaked also?
any ideas on this?
