ManicAsif it comes with quite some spares (shower screen, o rings etc). Also the supplied tamper has a perfect fit for the supplied baskets. It also comes with a nice funnel which is magnetic but does sit inside the basket so it is not tamp through and leaves an indentation in the coffee. I still use it but looking for something better to be honest.

These were different issues - the leaking from the solenoid fill valve was indeed siphoning as suggested by Dave but only showed up because my machine was set to plumbed in settings. It didn’t materialize every fill because the unique conditions of siphoning and needing a fill had to happen simultaneously, which I guess took a few weeks to occur.

I am trying to find time to pull the panels off and trace my tubes better. Ultimately the excess water out of the steam wand isn’t terrible, but it is a bit annoying as I splatter a bunch of water out of it during my first purge. I basically have to tell the kids to stand on the other side of the room when I’m making them steamed milk (which is secretly a selfish act so I can practice milk steaming).

Water in the stream line is normal especially just after First heat up and during any time gap in steaming. It’s just condensate or residual steam reverting back to water.

I’ve done some mods to my tray so I can blast steam in there without issue, but, I always have a small beaker half full of water and purge it for 10 seconds of so on every use and after as well. Becomes second nature. Can’t remember if you’re pro plumbing or not but the plumbed tray to me is just as convenient as plumbing the machine in. I will leave it at that before I get a here we go again😎

@DavecUK may be worth mentioning to the factory if they are sending them all out with plumbed as factory spec.

Mine was set to plumbed as well but I was plumbing it. Can’t imagine @Cuprajake changes that setting. It did have the plug in the solenoid so would never have actually known other than solenoid would have been energised during every empty tank. Cant imagine it causing anyone an issue if plug is fitted though.

I suspect it’s random, but I will mention it…the solenoid won’t be energised very long and won’t harm it at all. As long as a blanking cap is there it’s all good.

As with all new models, there are going to be teething problems. I suspect the biggest future issue though is transit damage that would be mostly invisible (as it’s very heavy). Not much the factory can do, when machines are transported on their own and not as a team on a pallet….they are more vulnerable.

Basically this machine had a shipping problem, and we have to understand if there are other problems inside, because the others outside are clearly. It seems that the pump not take water properly. But we need to check. Unfortunately last week there was a national holiday here and lost the opportunity to check. I’ll keep you posted.

I got a great deal on the Evo2 but sadly it was lacking for me, really wasn’t the best time, a deal like that won’t ever come around again,
