So what happens after you brew, than leave it. Does it after a while just start to cool down?

Both boilers?

And does the pump work at this point in time if you push the pump actuation lever ?

Thinking of a combined issue with the ssrelays and pressure stat……

Just got my machine this week and I am loving it. I do think the limited movement of the steam wand is the only thing I would change. Anyone here have the Vostok steam wand on their Evo? If so, do you have better flexibility and does it impeded the function of the screen?

I steam to the side of the machine not over the machine ….

Adrianmsmith I went for all white and Olive. I have to steam on the side as well instead of in front because the clearance is super tight. My wand tip will touch the drip tray before it will clear the hole that yours is pointed into.

Thay have posted pictures on instagram with it fitted.

The big issue fitting it will be turning the valve 180 without marking the paint will not be possible . theres your gauntlet thrown well and truly down!!

The normal place for mine is by the side i always leave the beaker there half full of water to purge befor and after the shot. I dont like to just blast it in the open!!

Ah okay. Yeah I guess I got use to it being more maneuverable. I had a Linea Mini and Synchronika before that and they were easy tilt for steaming. The Synchronika has a tilted steam wand base, I think that helps.

Never used the mini but I also came from Synchronika, anniversary anthracite edition.

I loved it, until i didn’t!!

Now i can’t be bothered with all the cleaning, greasing and changing swelled valve plugs!!

The Evo obviously isn’t for everyone either but im not planning to change anytime soon!!

Either way, this Evo Leva is my favorite machine so far.

I had this big steamwand on my Leva, but didn’t like the use of it. There is lots of condensed water in the pipe. It takes a long time to steam it away. It was difficult to make steamed milk for latte art because of the condensed water in the pipe. I switched to the small wand and perfectly happy with it.

I always purge in to a half beaker of water for a few seconds anyways, always have since the guy doing the sage demos said so when buying the dual boiler. Was a long time ago and he wasnt allowed to purge any other way in John Lewis demo area!!

While I await a response from ACS, I just want to probe and see if anyone has a had this issue and found a solution.

I ran into an issue where my machine will repeatedly pulse the pump every other second and it never stops. It will start while I am preinfusing and it makes the lever not retract on its own, so I have to press the button to kill the shot. I tried power cycling it but the pump will not stop pulsing. On the screen I can see the pump spike from 0-13bars, intermittently.

Any solutions?

It’s quite possible the 1 way valve between the boiler and the pressure sensor is not sealing properly. If it’s not you can get a pressure bounce effect that can cause the pump to pulse. I assume it hasn’t done this from new, or has it.?

It goes, Boiler - Expansion valve - 1 way valve - pressure sensor.

DavecUK I’ve only had the machine for 10 days. It happened once about a week in, and resolved after power cycling it. This time its stuck doing it. How can I verify the seal?

As already said to this customer probably the one way valve between the pump and sensor fails due of probably impurity inside or defective one way valve. The pressure drops basically at zero it means that the water go back in the pump and than in the tank. I don’t think that the problem could be another.
