yes I did just short out the tank. The link to the solenoid is in the post I referred to in my previous post. It is 24 volts, not so many solenoids are 24 volt.

I think any 2 way solenoïde will do if 24v dc, NC and ⅛.

Pump less is silent up to a point, you hear the solenoid clicking, you hear the water streaming. But very pleasant all in all.

Do not forget that the EVO needs to be set to “tank” and not to “ line” when operating without a pump.

Elcarajillo Is it a trick of the light or is the thread on the R/H side damaged ?

I think it was a bubble/artifact in the photo. I looked again and didnt see any thread damage before reinstalling.

kilo It has been done before. I bought this machine 2 years ago and it still works flawlessly without pump. I directed the overflow line to the driptray, so no tank needed anymore.

If you balance the line pressure with the preinfusionpressure. ( line a little bit higher ) it works very quiet

That’s really a clever way of doing it. Might have to consider that down the road.

My last machine was direct plumb only–yet still fed into a tank (Cimbali d/t)! Not as noticeable on a pump driven machine.

Its super simple

When you flush or pull the lever, the machine turns the pump on, that trigger now turns the solenoid on, which is direct feed so what ever your water pressure is the infusion will be

Note you have to flip the float switch upside down in the tank as it needs to think it has water in it

(Obviously) The important bit is to have a regulated supply with it’s pressure set one bar Higher than what you plan to set pre infusion pressure on the machine.

Just saying in case you do not currently have a regulated feed for your plumbed, to tank, setup .

Yeah you need a regulator, i used an adjustable one from my water feed to the machine, then all push fit.

The worst part if i want to adjust my pressure is dragging the washing machine foreward. Filter and machine are on the other side of that wall!!

This is something I would like to do in the future. Although the solution with filling the tank works fine, I would prefer water going directly in the machine.

Is it the same with the V2 Leva? If I’m correct the V1 has a preinfusion which needs to be set by a screwdriver? Mine is done via the screen (but I guess @Adrianmsmith has the V2 as well).

If you need information on the 24 VDC ACL valve, maybe I can help. My employer has several of them in stock (although I’m no sure which gasket: NBR/FPM/Viton).

I see no difference from v1 to v2 so long as line pressure can exceed what pre infusion is set at

Im currently thinking of ordering a ceme 6601 ½″ in ¼″ out 24v nc. 4mm orifice. cheaper options are available on amazon!!

If i scratch the itch this week, will update…

Purely out if interest to basically remove the standing water in the tank. Its already very quiet!!

It is not a necessary upgrade.

Some things you do just out of interest …

I like a bit of faff occasionally!!

well the transducers took the place of the stat, so in theory should work the same, they just tell the pump to turn on or off when water is needed, imo the gear pump did seem quicker at delivery than the rotary

Good point, I don’t think my main water line has a high pressure. So if I wanted a PI of something like 6 bar, that would be impossible? Not that I ever go that high but still. The standing water is my biggest “concern”.

With line feed, the max preinfusionpressure pressure is slightly lower than the line pressure.
